It’s vous and moi time
The Muppets’ Miss Piggy stars in the stunning new hot pink ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition. We’re delighted to announce our collaboration with The Muppets and Miss Piggy and the release of the ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition. With its hot pink dial, baguette diamond 12 o’clock hour marker and case back spyhole revealing Miss Piggy’s glamorous portrait, the watch gets the year going with a big smile.

The watch is the second expression of our joyful collaboration with The Muppets, following the ProPilot X Kermit Edition, which introduced the concept of Kermit Day on the first of every month and making a little time for ourselves. The Miss Piggy edition of the watch continues the collaboration with the same entertaining spirit, embracing Miss Piggy’s bold, beautiful, confident persona to create an utterly unforgettable design. The new edition is based on our striking, sculpted ProPilot X, now with a 34.00 mm stainless steel case. It’s powered by a Swiss Made automatic movement (Oris only makes mechanical watches). And it has a playful little secret. On the mirror-polished case back, there’s a small opening, a spyhole that reveals a picture of a coy, demure Miss Piggy. The spyhole reveals a coy, demure Miss Piggy on the lilac rotor, which appears and disappears as the rotor rotates.

“We’re very excited to be working with ‘vous’, Miss Piggy, the world’s most fabulous pig,” says Rolf Studer, Oris Co- CEO. “Like you, we’re optimistic about the future, and we want to have some fun getting there. Life’s too short not to have big dreams and to enjoy yourself. We made this watch for independent, stylish, and above all, fabulous individuals and we couldn’t think of a better collaborator than you, a global icon, to be the star of the project.”
We invited Miss Piggy and six such fabulous, high-achieving women to reflect on the collaboration. Read on...

Be your own biggest cheerleader. Know what you want and go after it until you get it
Miss Piggy took some time out of her busy, glamorous schedule to explain what it takes to be so fabulous (and how to find fame!).
Miss Piggy, you’re one of the world’s most glamorous women – what’s your secret to staying fabulous?
Moi is fabulous simply because moi insists upon being fabulous! To moi, fabulous is a mindset, a way of life. Another secret: accessorise as much as possible. I, for one, never leave home without my pearls or my gloves or my purse or my bedazzled water bottle or my assistant who reminds moi which accessories to never leave home without!
Who or what has had the greatest influence over your life?
Oh, that’s easy… Moi! I have had the greatest influence over my life – and, I assume, the lives of every other person on Earth. After all, do you think anyone but moi could have clawed my way out of the chorus line and into the spotlight to become a beloved worldwide sensation? Absolutely not!
What brings you joy?
Oh, so, so many things! It’s like I always say: if it brings you joy, buy it, sweetie! I’ll start with Kermit, and my precious pup Foo-Foo, and all my Muppet friends- slash-co-stars (even the weird ones). Plus, teensy little things like universal fame and the adoration of millions. And high fashion, too. Oh! And chocolate! Lots of chocolate. You don’t have any on you, do you?
Regrettably not. When you talk to young people, what advice do you give to inspire them?
Be your own biggest cheerleader. Yes, others might encourage vous along your journey, but the motivation has to start with YOU. Know what you want and go after it until you get it! Unless you want to be as beloved as moi – then you’d better change your dreams immediately because that lane is taken! Haha! Only kidding... kinda. Kissy, kissy!

The power and the jewellery
Miss Piggy’s influence spans half a century. Here, we speak with half a dozen women from all over the world who have been influenced by her passion, her power – and her pink glamour.

What do you think of Miss Piggy?
She’s the ultimate embodiment of confidence with zero need for justification. I mean, think about it: she’s got that regal, “I-own-the-room“ vibe. She’s like the walking, no, prancing definition of “unapologetically fabulous.” To me, she’s a cultural icon, representing the “I am what I am” attitude to the fullest. Miss Piggy teaches us that true confidence isn’t about whether others believe in you; it’s about believing in yourself with an unshakable swagger.
Fifty years on from her debut, what does she say to today’s young women?
Miss Piggy’s message is clear: forget the labels and live your most dazzling self. She’s not your average role model. She’s got confidence, flair and zero competition. She’s teaching young women today that they can chase their goals with unapologetic boldness, that being funny, confident, and a little dramatic is actually a strength.
How well do you think women are represented in the watch industry?
When you look around, men’s watches are big, robust and packed with complicated movements, while women’s watches? They’re usually smaller, a little bling here and there, often feeling more like jewellery than serious timepieces. But the relationship between women and watches should be much richer, especially for those who truly understand the beauty of time. Oris bringing Miss Piggy on board is a game-changer. This isn’t just a crossover with jewellery. It’s a statement that women, fashion and style are at the forefront of watchmaking.

CO-CEO ORIS, HÖLSTEIN
She’s a self-confessed diva: what made you want to work with Miss Piggy?
In short, because she’s the perfect person to tell the Oris story and a great example of going your own way. I’ve always thought of Miss Piggy as a glamorous and powerful lady, with a unique sense of humour. She makes me laugh and I admire her for her quick wit. She’s a strong personality, full of energy, with an independent mindset, always knowing exactly what she wants. Does that sound familiar?
Do you think she’s a good role model for contemporary young women?
Yes! She embodies self-confidence and independence and remains true to herself. Even with her over-the-top personality, she proves that ambition and perseverance are the keys to success. Young women can learn from her ability to pursue goals and strive for their dreams without denying themselves the fun of being fabulous.

Tell us what you think of when you think of Miss Piggy…
Miss Piggy is unforgettable, a diva, unapologetically herself, witty, snappy and full of glamour like any femme fatale should be. Her timelessness comes from her confidence and her refusal to conform: she has never shied away from expressing her dreams, even if it meant karate-chopping anyone in her way.
You’ve spent most of your life close to this industry. How do you see it today?
It’s about making room for creativity and vision, wherever it’s found.
What is it about a mechanical watch that makes you tick?
In a world that moves at lightning speed, where we’re constantly controlled by digital devices, a mechanical watch feels almost rebellious because it’s totally useless. But it’s a reminder that no AI, innovation or technology will ever replace craftsmanship and the human hand.

What got you into watches?
There’s just something very special about a mechanical wristwatch. It’s a reminder of the past, present and future. The craftsmanship and technology are centuries old and yet today, wearers are still using them to tell the time. And I love the sustainability story: unlike a digital device, you invest in a mechanical watch and you know it will continue to run for years.
And now Oris has done a watch with Miss Piggy. What do you think of that?
I think it’s fabulous. Miss Piggy is such a wonderful role model for young women today, confident and passionate in her views. She’s a hard-working performer who’s versatile enough to turn a trotter to any activity while retaining her individual sense of style and glamour.

First impressions of Miss Piggy...?
Miss Piggy is an icon. I grew up with The Muppets, and she brings her main character energy to everything she does.
What’s her message to young women?
Miss Piggy shows young women they can do anything they put their minds to. All they need is a strong belief in themselves and a fabulous set of long gloves.
What’s your take on the watch industry’s attitude to women?
There are lots of women in watches, and we’re starting to see some of that reflected in watch brand leadership. There’s still progress to be made in shining a light on women’s contributions to watches and how watches are marketed to women, but we’re heading in the right direction.
Why do you love mechanical watches?
I marvel at all of the things that come together to make a representation of the passing of time function in such a small space. It’s more than just knowing what time it is – it’s about the combination of art and science to tell the story of time.
Miss Piggy walks into a room – what do you want to talk to her about?
The first thing is fashion. She has her own unique sense of style: glamorous and feminine, but with an edge. Then I’d really love to get her to spill the tea on what makes Statler and Waldorf so grumpy and cantankerous.

You’re studying film in Los Angeles – what would you ask Miss Piggy if she walked into your lecture theatre?
Ha! I’d be very curious. I imagine she’d have countless fascinating, humorous stories. I’d love to hear how she maintains her optimism and handles setbacks.
You grew up in Syria – did Miss Piggy play a role in your childhood?
Yes, I remember her from The Muppet Show and the movies, and I love that she’s so international and bold. I was always taken in by her wit and her direct, sometimes cheeky manner, and by her love of luxury. Oh, and her on-again-off- again relationship with Kermit the Frog! She’s always been an empowering figure for self-confident women who aren’t afraid to express their wishes and opinions. Her refusal to let others diminish her brilliance is inspiring.
